almost there!!!

Hello Everyone :)

I hope you are all enjoying a nice and warm weekend? Winter looks as though it will arrive with an extra special helping of rain, so although that means things getting a bit wet and woolly it also means turning everything nice and green!

As you are all probably aware, tomorrow is a big day for many businesses across South Australia. A number of restrictions will be lifting, doors will be re-opening and our beautiful community will be able to enjoy a number of activities that were temporarily suspended during these last couple of months. It is a super exciting time with a lot of fresh changes on the way!

I know there is still a little bit of confusion around the whole process, and making things trickier is the fact that things are changing almost on a day to day basis. Saying that, I’m hoping this blog can help you all a little with regards to the next week or two ahead :)

One confusing aspect of this process centres around numbers. Starting tomorrow, a gym is allowed to have a maximum of 20 people using the facilities at one time, however this limit is reduced to 10 people for any fitness classes or general indoor class based activities. It will be important to ensure we don't exceed the allowable numbers, so what will this mean? Basically, until restrictions are lifted further, our best plan of attack is to request that our amazing fitness family members book ahead for the class they’d like to take part in. Not only will this will help to ensure that I can offer the right number of classes and times, but it will also help make sure everybody has the chance do join in the fun!

Another question many you might have is why are classes starting on the 8th of June rather than the 1st of June? As much as it would have been fantastic to start on the 1st, up until recently the South Australian Government had established the 8th of June as the day the restrictions would be lifted. Although this changed recently and the start date was shifted a week earlier, it will still take a little time to speak with all of the venues and prepare the necessary requirements needed to ensure everybody’s safety whilst adhering to newly established policies. Believe me I have missed all the fun and laughter of our classes so much and would love to get things back up and running tomorrow morning, but I feel it’s super important to make sure everything is properly prepared and I also want to make sure you have plenty of opportunity to plan for the new classes!!!

Speaking of classes…

STRENGTH FOR LIFE CUMBERLAND PARK: SFL classes return on Monday the 8th of June! Yes this is a public holiday, however I have arranged permission to use the venue on this day so what better way to celebrate? :) Class times will be 9.00-9.45, 10.00-10.45, and 11.00-11.45 and held on Mondays and Fridays. If you are interested in attending, please do contact me to let me know a time slot that will suit you best! You are welcome to email me at ylifeisspecial@gmail.com, or you are also welcome to call or text me on 0424 724 914. Please know I’ll be doing everything I can to try to accommodate all requests, and while the process might be a little new there’s nothing that’s going to stop us from getting back to some serious fun!!!

LIVING CHOICE COMMUNITY CENTRE: At this stage initial classes will only be available to Living Choice Residents, with a temporary class schedule beginning on Tuesday the 2nd of June! This will comprise Chair Yoga from 9.00-10.00 followed by Cardio & Strength Training from 10.15-11.15. A communication has been sent to all residents but please note bookings are still essential :)

CHAIR YOGA SEAFORD : Whilst I have not yet been able to confirm a class time, at this stage it looks as though Chair Yoga classes at Seaford Community Centre will start up in the afternoon of Wednesday the 10th of June. I hope to have a confirmed time in the next day or two, however if you are interested in attending please don’t hesitate to contact me – I’m more than happy to create additional classes to make sure nobody misses out :)

BYARDS COMMUNITY CENTRE : At this stage, and after chatting with many of you, we will be holding off re-opening this class until bigger numbers can be permitted. Online classes in the meantime WILL continue (yay!!!) however the time slots will need to be adjusted after the end of this week, and I hope to speak with you all to make sure we can come up with a solution that works for everyone :)

What about current online classes?

All online classes will be live at the usual times for this week (ending Friday the 5th of June). Moving forward as we see physical venues open back up however, I am absolutely open to maintaining some weekly online classes for those who have enjoyed working out in their own personal gym!! I will chat with you all this week to learn what might work best for everyone and can’t wait to hear your feedback :)

Wow – so many changes and even more to come!! Thank you so much for taking the time to read through all of this information. It’s going to be a busy week ahead that’s for sure, but it means the countdown’s on to when we can all get back together and celebrate our health and happiness :) Please do give me a call if you’d like to have a chat about any of the upcoming changes, and please don’t worry if things seem a little confusing for the moment. Most of the changes we’re going through are temporary and won’t be needed once things bounce back to normal! Until then, together we can embark on a Winter adventure like no other and find a million reasons to laugh along the way :)

Oh - I almost forgot! I was thinking of hosting a Yuki Health and Happiness Online Coffee Catch Up this Thursday afternoon (4th June). It will be a great way to discuss all of these changes with you, answer any questions you might have and it will also be a good opportunity to reserve your place in one of the classes! I will confirm the time by tomorrow afternoon and it will be so amazing to see you all there :)

Stay warm, take care and I’ll have some fresh updates shortly!

Yuki.
